Prudential Overall Supply Completes New Labor Agreement

The accord with UNITE HERE is overwhelmingly approved by employees and takes effect immediately.

Irvine, CA - Prudential Overall Supply, an industry leader in image work apparel, announced today that it reached a new labor agreement with UNITE HERE that has been overwhelmingly approved by employees. The agreement takes effect immediately and provides employees with expanded pay and benefits.

The 3-year contract affects employees in 7 plants, including Van Nuys, Carson, 2 Los Angeles locations, Cerritos, Riverside, and Vista. It provides employees with pay increases and enhancements to benefits. The agreement settles all outstanding contract issues between Prudential and UNITE HERE.

"It took a lot of hard work and many months to reach this agreement,” said Mr. Watts. He noted that during the long contract talks, the union sometimes employed tactics that were intended to upset the business and that this is, unfortunately, to be expected in some contract negotiations.

“We worked hard to minimize the impact on our employees, and I can assure you that it had no effect on the service we provide to our customers.

Mr. Watts said that as a result of this agreement, UNITE HERE is ending all such efforts and is now working cooperatively with Prudential to ensure the company’s business remains strong.
