What’s Your Goal for 2017? Inspiration & Ideas from Prudential Overall Supply

Goal: Start a New Career

Here are some tips for making a career change in 2017:

  • Give yourself a pep talk. It’s easy to let self-doubts and excuses prevent us from reaching our goals. It may sound a bit cheesy, but take a good look in the mirror and tell yourself you can achieve your dreams and goals this year. Take an inventory of your strengths as well as areas for improvement. Remember, we all have weaknesses—it’s how we choose to deal with them that really matters.
  • Identify what you love. What truly motivates you and makes you tick? Are you a people person, or do you work best independently? Do you like the creature comforts of an office, or do you prefer to be on the move? Focus on finding a career that allows you to do what you enjoy and capitalizes on your strengths.
  • Understand your competition. Be prepared to demonstrate on your resume and to prospective employers how your skills and experience stack up against the competition. Identify your weaknesses and areas for improvement and work on them. The key is to understand what you have to offer compared to others and to be able to play up your strengths.
  • Get Started! If we wait until “just the right moment” to act, we risk missing out on opportunities that are often right in front of us. There’s no time like the present to make a life-changing career move. Did we mention that Prudential Overall Supply is hiring? With dozens of locations throughout the U.S., we offer stable careers with competitive salaries and comprehensive benefits packages in a diverse, gender-equal environment. Goal: Go Green

Whether you’re a citizen who wants to do his or her part to make the world a better place for future generations or a business owner who believes in corporate responsibility and sustainability (and good PR, to boot), going green just makes sense.

Prudential is proud to be a Clean Green Company committed to achieving greater sustainability.  We achieve this in a variety of ways—by using high-capacity washing, drying, and finishing equipment for our laundry services, by choosing reusable rather than disposable products, by using energy efficient lighting, and by using non-toxic user-friendly chemicals, to name just some of many examples.

We’re proud to take active measures to reduce our environmental footprint and protect our employees and the public. Learn more about our Clean Green Movement and our commitment to sustainability.

Goal: Get Organized

It’s almost impossible to concentrate and get things done efficiently when your environment is disorganized. Prudential offers everything you need to keep your business or home office space neat, tidy, and organized. Check out our line of janitorial and storage products, and get organized in 2017.

We hope you’ve found these tips helpful, and we look forward to helping you reach your goals in 2017!

The Man of Integrity Who Started It All

We can’t look ahead to the coming year without thinking about where we’ve been and remembering the man who started it all—Prudential’s founder, John D. Clark. A man of integrity who believed in forthrightness and accountability, our founder understood that your word is your bond and that a commitment to excellence is essential for not only creating long-lasting, mutually-beneficial relationships with customers, but for growing a business.

An unwavering commitment to our founder’s principles and vision has helped Prudential grow from a one-man laundry operation in 1932 to a leading supplier of professional work apparel, facility supplies, and cleanroom services in the 21st century.

Today our client roster is 26,000 strong, and we employ 1,750 dedicated team members in dozens of locations across the U.S. We’re proud of this legacy at Prudential, and we intend to continue it in 2017 and beyond.
