Prudential Overall Supply Celebrates Groundbreaking and Ribbon Cutting for New Austin, Texas Facility
AUSTIN, TX – October 1, 2026 – Prudential Overall Supply, an industry leader in reusable image work apparel, facility services and cleanroom laundry service systems, celebrated the groundbreaking and ribbon cutting of its newest state-of-the-art Cleanroom and Industrial Laundry Processing Facility in Austin, Texas.
The October 1 ceremony brought together Prudential employees, customers, suppliers, community partners, project partners and invited guests to recognize the company’s continued investment and expansion in Texas.
Located at 1001 West Howard Lane in Austin, the project represents an anticipated $40 million to $45 million investment in the Austin community. The new facility is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2028 and, when fully operational, is expected to create more than 150 well-paying jobs. Prudential President Chris Welch welcomed attendees and emphasized that the project represents more than an expansion of the company’s physical footprint.
“More important than the building itself are the opportunities it will create for people, customers, and the communities we serve,” said Welch. “This investment will allow Prudential to strengthen our service capabilities, support continued growth, and build new relationships throughout Texas and the surrounding region.”
The Austin facility will provide both Cleanroom and Industrial laundry processing services. Prudential’s Cleanroom division supports organizations operating in controlled environments, including the semiconductor, pharmaceutical, bioscience, aerospace and electronics industries. Its Industrial division provides uniforms, floor mats, towels, napkins and related facility products.
Strategically located in Austin, the facility will strengthen Prudential’s ability to serve Cleanroom customers throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi, expanding the company’s capacity across an important and growing region.
Once completed, the Austin operation will become Prudential’s 38th location in the United States and its ninth ISO Class 3 cleanroom laundry processing facility. It is planned to be among the industry’s newest, most modern and largest combined Cleanroom and Industrial laundry processing facilities in the country.
Once this facility is fully operational, Prudential will be able to process approximately 82 million pounds of industrial laundry and 20 million pounds of cleanroom laundry annually providing significant processing capacity, and the Austin investment will further expand the company’s ability to support customers throughout the region.
“We are proud to invest in Austin, proud to expand our presence in Texas, and excited about what this facility will mean for our customers, employees, and the communities we serve,” Welch said.
The Austin project continues Prudential Overall Supply’s long-term strategy of investing in modern processing capacity while positioning facilities closer to the customers and industries the company serves. The expansion will support both existing customers and new business opportunities while increasing Prudential’s ability to provide best-in-class Cleanroom and Industrial laundry services throughout the region.
The event concluded with the ceremonial ribbon cutting and groundbreaking, marking both the celebration of Prudential’s presence in Austin today and the beginning of the next phase of the company’s investment in the market.
