PRUDENTIAL OVERALL SUPPLY HOSTS CONGRESSIONAL VISIT AT ITS RIVERSIDE, CA LAUNDRY PROCESSING FACILITY

IRVINE, CA – August 27, 2018, Prudential Overall Supply, a leading company in the uniform and facility services industry, announced that it hosted Congressman Mark Takano (D-CA-41) at its Riverside, CA laundry processing facility.

Congressman Takano was given a plant tour to give him an in-depth look on the operations of an industrial laundry.  The tour emanated from a meeting several Textile Rental Service Association (TRSA) leaders had with Rep. Takano during the Annual Summer TRSAPAC Fly-In.

During the initial meeting, the TRSA leaders discussed the importance of a skilled workforce to keep laundry plants up and running.  Mr. Takano mentioned that he was working with community colleges and technical schools to develop a curriculum that more matches the need of today’s employers.

The tour started with an introduction of Prudential Overall Supply by Tom Watts, Prudential President, during the introduction, Watts discussed the company’s history as well as the employee benefits offered by the company. “We are really proud of our staff here, the average tenure of staff here is 18 years” Watts said.

The Congressman then toured the plant floor including soil sort, the wash aisle, finishing and storage.  During the tour Rep. Takano mentioned how the tour put much of his previous conversations with TRSA representatives in perspective giving him a much better understanding of how the industry operates.   He also mentioned that is clarified how the issues the industry faces has an effect on operations.

After the tour, Mr. Takano spent time with Prudential employees as a group learning more from them as to their thoughts on working for the company and the benefits they receive.
